Vanessa Hudgens And Austin Butler’s Hot Makeout Session — In Public
The latest Disney couple took its show on the road this weekend with major PDA!
Were Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler just hamming it up for the cameras, or did photographers really capture the new couple in a super-public make-out session? Either way, we can’t take our eyes off this shot of Vanessa, 23, and Austin, 20, locking lips Dec. 18 in Los Angeles.
According to photographers, Austin and Vanessa were on their way to church when this little gem was snapped. (So let’s just hope their minister doesn’t read HollywoodLife.com!)

Kris Humphries' Annulment Filing
Kris Humphries went and did something you don't see every day.
The basketball player filed for both a legal separation from Kim Kardashian and a nullification of their entire union—one seemingly negating the other.
What it really means is that Humphries wants an annulment, but if he doesn't get one, he'll take a separation. According to the dual filing obtained by E! News, Humphries went with the catch-all "irreconcilable differences" as the reason he wants a separation.
But what was the rationale behind the requested annulment? Humphries checked off "fraud."
Which sounds dire, but is also really quite normal in these cases, fraud being the reason cited by Renée Zellweger when she struck her seven-month marriage to Kenny Chesney from the record.
Humphries also noted that property rights are be determined, asked that the court not award his soon-to-be ex-missus any spousal support and requested that Kardashian pay his legal fees.
But though the paperwork was filed today in Los Angeles Superiort Court, Humphries was thousands of miles away.
The Minnesota native and his mom are in Washington, D.C., for the Partnership for a Healthy America's inaugural Building a Healthy Future summit. Humphries was seen Tuesday at the Omni Shoreham hotel attending a luncheon and several seminars.
Kardashian, meanwhile, has filed for a plain, old-fashioned divorce.

Reese Witherspoon Not Pressing Charges Against Driver
Looks like Reese Witherspoon won't be pulling an Elle Woods.
A source tells Us Weekly that the actress, 35, is not planning to press charges against the 84-year-old woman who struck her with her car in Santa Monica, Calif. on Wednesday. (Witherspoon was jogging when the unnamed woman failed to yield to a pedestrian at a crosswalk.)
Witherspoon's rep told Us the Legally Blonde star was "not seriously injured and is resting comfortably at home."
A source adds: "The incident is being treated as an accident. The driver was not given an alcohol test at the accident scene and typically she would receive a fine and a point on her driving license as it is considered a moving violation."
Fortunately, Witherspoon sustained only a cut on her forehead. The Oscar-winner's injuries are not expected to affect her upcoming projects, which include This Means War with Tom Hardy and Mud with Matthew McConaughey.

Kirstie Alley has lost 100lbs

Kirstie Alley had dropped a massive amount of weight (again).
The 60-year-old told Entertainment Tonight that she's lost 100lbs – or 45 kilos, and it's all thanks to Dancing With The Stars.
The 60-year-old actress started her slim-down regime before appearing on the US reality show, but the demanding nature of dance training accelerated her weight loss.
"I've lots 100lbs," she told ET.
"I feel like I'm back in my element. I honestly didn't even realise what I looked like."
Kirstie is an infamous yo-yo dieter and has battled with her weight for years.
And while she's proud of her latest loss, the actress seems to know when enough is enough- a rare thing in Hollywood.
Kirstie told ET she's not a fan of surgery –because it makes people look weird.
"I haven't had plastic but here's the reason. People do plastic surgery to make you look younger. I don't think it makes you look younger. I think it can make you look weirder."
The actress also said she's keen to spend more time with men, but it doesn't sound like she's into long-term relationships.
"This is what I think about sex. I think it's fun to hook up every night for six months. Then it's time to move on!"
Watch out for the man-eater!
Brad Pitt says thoughts on Aniston misunderstood
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A story posted on Parade magazine's website on Thursday in which Brad Pitt talks about his life with ex-wife Jennifer Aniston put the actor in damage control mode, saying his words had been misinterpreted.
The 47-year-old Pitt said in a profile by Parade magazine posted on the publication's website that he is now a "satisfied man" in his relationship with Angelina Jolie.
The "Moneyball" star compares his new life with Jolie, with whom he is raising 6 kids, favorably to the roughly five years he spent married to Aniston.
"It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn't living an interesting life myself," Pitt told Parade.
"I think that my marriage (to Aniston) had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't," he added.
Those quotes were interpreted by many media outlets as meaning Pitt thought Aniston was uninteresting. But the A-list actor sought to clarify himself in a statement issued later by his talent agency.
"It grieves me that this was interpreted this way. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend. It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself -- and that, I am responsible for," Pitt said in the statement.
Pitt and "Friends" star Aniston were married in 2000, and he has largely avoided talking about her since their 2005 divorce.
In the magazine interview, Pitt also said he spent the 1990s "trying to hide out" from celebrity. "I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out," he said.
Although Pitt and Oscar winner Jolie have been together for more than five years, the actor has said they will not marry until gay marriage is widely legalized. He is sticking to that.
"We'll get married when everyone can," Pitt told Parade.
The Parade interview with Pitt, who stars in the upcoming baseball drama "Moneyball," is being published in this Sunday's edition of the magazine.

Brad Pitt bad-mouths his marriage to Jennifer Aniston
You'd think after seven years Brad Pitt would shut up about his broken marriage to Jennifer Aniston.
But no, he just can't help pulling it out of the bag.
The 47-year-old has spoken to Parade Magazine (for what seems like three hours, given the size of the story), saying that his relationship with Jen pretty much made his whole life crap.
"I spent the '90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony. I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic. It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn't living an interesting life myself.
And then…you suck, Jen, you suck…
"I think that my marriage [to Jennifer Aniston] had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't."
Ouch.
What makes it even more harsh is that Brad then goes on a gushy rave about how amazing Angelina is, and how incredible they are together.
"[Now] I put much more emphasis on being a satisfied man. I'm satisfied with making true choices and finding the woman I love, Angie, and building a family that I love so much.
"One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom. She is such a great mom. Oh man, I'm so happy to have her."
So, let's get this straight. Jen made you feel like a total loser and Ange makes you say corny stuff like 'oh man'?
Awesome.

Marc Anthony is begging Jennifer to take him back
After just three weeks Jennifer Lopez has seemingly moved on from her marriage to Marc Anthony, saying she loved herself enough "to walk away"… but things don't seem to be that easy for Marc.
Although the Latin singer joked about the couple's split, a source says he is struggling to come to terms with the fact that his seven-year marriage is over, Us magazine reported.
"His mood shifts from blaming her to begging her to take him back to telling her she is destroying his life," an unnamed source told the magazine.
"He's being difficult on every little point. He wants to prolong things so she reconsiders."
Jennifer on the other hand seems to be in a good place telling Vanity Fair magazine that she feels strong.
"I am positive — determined to move forward with my life, bring up my babies, and do the best job I can as a mother, entertainer, and person. I now look forward to new challenges. I feel strong," she said.

ABC, which is scheduled to discuss its fall schedule at a news conference Sunday, declined comment.

Its creator, Marc Cherry, isn't returning to produce next season's episodes of "Desperate Housewives."

Kelly Osbourne pans Catherine's recycled attire
Kelly Osbourne reckons Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, should stop recycling her outfits and "get a new dress every day".The 26-year-old daughter of British rocker Ozzy Osbourne questioned Catherine's frugal fashion habit on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno yesterday.
Catherine, 29, was seen at the recent wedding of Princess Anne's daughter Zara Phillips wearing outfits she had worn in public before — in keeping with attempts to be thrifty with clothing.
Osbourne said: "In England they're like, 'Look how thrifty she's being, showing the British public that the royals are in a recession as well".
"If I am going to be the future bloody Queen of England I'm gonna wear that dress once because I'm giving up the rest of my life, all of my privacy, at least I can get a new dress every day."
ABC apologizes for Nicki Minaj's costume slip up
(Reuters) - ABC on Friday apologized to its viewers for Nicki Minaj's wardrobe slip up that exposed the singer's bare breast during her summer concert performance on morning news show "Good Morning America."
Usually known for her outlandish outfits and offbeat fashion, the 28-year-old rapper and R&B singer's crop top slipped down while she was rocking the stage at Central Park's Rumsey Playfield during the live broadcast.
The costuming snafu brought immediate complaints from some viewers and prompted ABC to apologize and remove the images from later, time-delayed broadcasts of GMA.
"Although we had a five-second delay in place for the Nicki Minaj concert on GMA, the live East Coast feed of the concert regrettably included certain fleeting images of the performer that were taken out of later feeds of the broadcast in other time zones. We are sorry that this occurred," ABC said in its statement.
For Minaj, the show went on, as she continued her music set with her hit songs "Moment for Life" and "Super Bass."

Rowan Atkinson released from hospital after crash
(Reuters) - "Mr. Bean" star Rowan Atkinson left a U.K. hospital on Friday after a spectacular crash in his McLaren F1 supercar, according to media reports.
Atkinson left the Peterborough City Hospital north of London in a wheelchair, said UK broadcaster Sky News.
The 56 year-old British actor suffered a shoulder injury when his car hit a tree and a lamp post in a crash on Thursday near the town of Haddon, according to media reports.
Atkinson is best known for playing the inept but good-hearted Mr. Bean in the 1990s British TV comedy series named after the character, who rarely speaks. He also made Mr. Bean films.
Atkinson also starred in the 1980s BBC historical sitcom "The Black Adder," and a number of similarly titled series in the same decade. He has won a pair of British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards.

Troubled diva Amy Winehouse dead at 27
LONDON (AP) — Few artists summed up their own career in a single song — a single line — as well as Amy Winehouse.
"They tried to make me go to rehab," she sang on her world-conquering 2006 single, "Rehab." ''I said 'No, no no.'"
Occasionally, she said yes, but to no avail: repeated stints in hospitals and clinics couldn't stop alcohol and drugs scuttling the career of a singer whose distinctive voice, rich mix of influences and heart-on-her sleeve sensibility seemed to promise great things.
In her short lifetime, Winehouse too often made headlines because of drug and alcohol abuse, eating disorders, destructive relationships and abortive performances. But it's her small but powerful body of recorded music that will be her legacy.
The singer was found dead Saturday at age 27 by ambulance crews called to her home in north London's Camden area, a youth-culture mecca known for its music scene, its pubs — and the availability of illegal drugs.
The London Ambulance Service said Winehouse had died before crews arrived at the house in leafy Camden Square. The cause of death was not immediately known.
The singer's body was taken from her home by private ambulance to a London mortuary where post-mortem examinations were to be carried out either Sunday or Monday. Police said in a statement no arrests have been made in connection with her death.
It was not a complete surprise, but the news was still a huge shock for millions around the world. The size of Winehouse's appeal was reflected in the extraordinary range of people paying tribute as they heard the news, from Demi Moore — who tweeted "Truly sad news ... May her troubled soul find peace" — to chef Jamie Oliver, who wrote "such a waste, raw talent" on the social networking site.
Tony Bennett, who recorded the pop standard "Body And Soul" with Winehouse at London's Abbey Road Studios in March for an upcoming duets album, called her "an artist of immense proportions."
"She was an extraordinary musician with a rare intuition as a vocalist and I am truly devastated that her exceptional talent has come to such an early end," he said.
Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood said he was dedicating Saturday's reunion performance of his band The Faces to Winehouse. "It's a very sad loss of a very good friend I spent many great times with," he said.
Winehouse was something rare in an increasingly homogenized music business — an outsized personality and an unclassifiable talent.
She shot to fame with the album "Back to Black," whose blend of jazz, soul, rock and classic pop was a global hit. It won five Grammys and made Winehouse — with her black beehive hairdo and old-fashioned sailor tattoos — one of music's most recognizable stars.
"I didn't go out looking to be famous," Winehouse told the Associated Press when the album was released. "I'm just a musician."
But in the end, the music was overshadowed by fame, and by Winehouse's demons. Tabloids lapped up the erratic stage appearances, drunken fights, stints in hospital and rehab clinics. Performances became shambling, stumbling train wrecks, watched around the world on the Internet.
Last month, Winehouse canceled her European comeback tour after she swayed and slurred her way through barely recognizable songs in her first show in the Serbian capital of Belgrade. Booed and jeered off stage, she flew home and her management said she would take time off to recover.
Fans who had kept the faith waited in vain for a followup to "Back to Black."
Born in 1983 to taxi driver Mitch Winehouse and his pharmacist wife Janis, Winehouse grew up in the north London suburbs, and was set on a showbiz career from an early age. When she was 10, she and a friend formed a rap group, Sweet 'n' Sour — Winehouse was Sour — that she later described as "the little white Jewish Salt 'n' Pepa."
She attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School, a factory for British music and acting moppets, later went to the Brit School, a performing arts academy in the "Fame" mold, and was originally signed to "Pop Idol" svengali Simon Fuller's 19 Management.
But Winehouse was never a packaged teen star, and always resisted being pigeonholed.
Her jazz-influenced 2003 debut album, "Frank," was critically praised and sold well in Britain. It earned Winehouse an Ivor Novello songwriting award, two Brit nominations and a spot on the shortlist for the Mercury Music Prize.
But Winehouse soon expressed dissatisfaction with the disc, saying she was "only 80 percent behind" the album.
"Frank" was followed by a slump during which Winehouse broke up with her boyfriend, suffered a long period of writer's block and, she later said, smoked a lot of marijuana.
"I had writer's block for so long," she said in 2007. "And as a writer, your self-worth is literally based on the last thing you wrote. ... I used to think, 'What happened to me?'
"At one point it had been two years since the last record and (the record company) actually said to me, 'Do you even want to make another record?' I was like, 'I swear it's coming.' I said to them, 'Once I start writing I will write and write and write. But I just have to start it.'"
The album she eventually produced was a sensation.
Released in Britain in the fall of 2006, "Back to Black" brought Winehouse global fame. Working with producers Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi and soul-funk group the Dap-Kings, Winehouse fused soul, jazz, doo-wop and, above all, a love of the girl-groups of the early 1960s with lyrical tales of romantic obsession and emotional excess.
"Back to Black" was released in the United States in March 2007 and went on to win five Grammy awards, including song and record of the year for "Rehab."
Music critic John Aizlewood attributed her trans-Atlantic success to a fantastic voice and a genuinely original sound.
"A lot of British bands fail in America because they give America something Americans do better — that's why most British hip-hop has failed," he said. "But they won't have come across anything quite like Amy Winehouse."
Winehouse's rise was helped by her distinctive look — black beehive of hair, thickly lined cat eyes, girly tattoos — and her tart tongue.
She was famously blunt in her assessment of her peers, once describing Dido's sound as "background music — the background to death" and saying of pop princess Kylie Minogue, "she's not an artist ... she's a pony."
The songs on "Black to Black" detailed breakups and breakdowns with a similar frankness. Lyrically, as in life, Winehouse wore her heart on her sleeve.
"I listen to a lot of '60s music, but society is different now," Winehouse said in 2007. "I'm a young woman and I'm going to write about what I know."
Even then, Winehouse's performances were sometimes shambolic, and she admitted she was "a terrible drunk."
Increasingly, her personal life began to overshadow her career.
She acknowledged struggling with eating disorders and told a newspaper that she had been diagnosed as manic depressive but refused to take medication. Soon accounts of her erratic behavior, canceled concerts and drink- and drug-fueled nights began to multiply.
Photographs caught her unsteady on her feet or vacant-eyed, and she appeared unhealthily thin, with scabs on her face and marks on her arms.
There were embarrassing videos released to the world on the Internet. One showed an addled Winehouse and Babyshambles singer Pete Doherty playing with newborn mice. Another, for which Winehouse apologized, showed her singing a racist ditty to the tune of a children's song.
Winehouse's managers went to increasingly desperate lengths to keep the wayward star on the straight and narrow. Before a June 2011 concert in Belgrade — the first stop on a planned European comeback tour — her hotel was stripped of booze. It did no good,
Winehouse swayed and slurred her way through barely recognizable songs, as her band played gamely and the audience jeered and booed.
Winehouse flew home. Her management canceled the tour, saying Winehouse would take some time off to recover.
Though she was often reported to be working on new material, fans got tired of waiting for the much-promised followup to "Back to Black."
Occasional bits of recording saw the light of day. Her rendition of The Zutons' "Valerie" was a highlight of producer Mark Ronson's 2007 album "Version," and she recorded the pop classic "It's My Party" for the 2010 Quincy Jones album "Q: Soul Bossa Nostra."
But other recording projects with Ronson, one of the architects of the success of "Back to Black," came to nothing.
She also had run-ins with the law. In April 2008, Winehouse was cautioned by police for assault after she slapped a man during a raucous night out.
The same year she was investigated by police, although not charged, after a tabloid newspaper published a video that appeared to show her smoking crack cocaine.
In 2010, Winehouse pleaded guilty to assaulting a theater manager who asked her to leave a family Christmas show because she'd had too much to drink. She was given a fine and a warning to stay out of trouble by a judge who praised her for trying to clean up her act.
In May 2007 in Miami, she married music industry hanger-on Blake Fielder-Civil, but the honeymoon was brief. That November, Fielder-Civil was arrested for an attack on a pub manager the year before. Fielder-Civil later pleaded guilty to assaulting barman James King and then offering him 200,000 pounds (US$400,000) to keep quiet about it.
Winehouse stood by "my Blake" throughout his trial, often blowing kisses at him from the court's public gallery and wearing a heart-shaped pin labeled "Blake" in her hair at concerts. But British newspapers reported extramarital affairs while Fielder-Civil was behind bars.
They divorced in 2009.
Winehouse's health often appeared fragile. In June 2008 and again in April 2010, she was taken to hospital and treated for injuries after fainting and falling at home.
Her father said she had developed the lung disease emphysema from smoking cigarettes and crack, although her spokeswoman later said Winehouse only had "early signs of what could lead to emphysema."
She left the hospital to perform at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday concert in Hyde Park in June 2008, and at the Glastonbury festival the next day, where she received a rousing reception but scuffled with a member of the crowd. Then it was back to a London clinic for treatment, continuing the cycle of music, excess and recuperation that marked her career.
Her last public appearance came three days before her death, when she briefly joined her goddaughter, singer Dionne Bromfield, on stage at The Roundhouse in Camden, just around the corner from her home.
Despite the years of frustration and disappointment, Winehouse retained a huge body of fans, all hoping she would find her feet again. Some gathered outside her home after her death, laying flowers, comforting each other and taking in the police tape and ambulance that marked the end of her journey.
Winehouse is survived by her parents and an older brother, Alex. Her father, Mitch, who released a jazz album of his own, was in New York when he heard the news of her death and immediately flew back.
Winehouse's spokesman, Chris Goodman, said "everyone who was involved with Amy is shocked and devastated." He said the family would issue a statement when they were ready.
"They tried to make me go to rehab," she sang on her world-conquering 2006 single, "Rehab." ''I said 'No, no no.'"Occasionally, she said yes, but to no avail: repeated stints in hospitals and clinics couldn't stop alcohol and drugs scuttling the career of a singer whose distinctive voice, rich mix of influences and heart-on-her sleeve sensibility seemed to promise great things.

Schwarzenegger's son injured in beach mishap
(Reuters) - The 13-year-old son of former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his estranged wife, Maria Shriver, was injured in a beach accident days ago, leading to a "very scary week" for the family, they said in a statement on Friday.
The statement gave few details of the mishap involving Christopher Schwarzenegger, the youngest of the couple's four children, nor did it say how badly he was hurt.
But the celebrity news website TMZ.com reported the youth was severely injured when hit by a large wave while surfing or boogie-boarding last weekend in Malibu, suffering multiple broken bones and a collapsed lung.
According to TMZ, the boy initially was hospitalized in intensive care, but his condition has since been upgraded.
His parents said their son is expected to make a full recovery.
"While it has been a very scary week, Christopher is surrounded by his family and friends," the couple's statement said.
"We want to sincerely thank the paramedics and lifeguards who responded so swiftly, as well as the doctors, nurses, emergency room and hospital staff who have cared for our son. They have been extraordinary to him and to us."
Shriver filed for divorce from Schwarzenegger on July 1, weeks after the Austrian-born former bodybuilder and film star publicly admitted to fathering a child out of wedlock with a member of the family's household staff more than a decade earlier. Schwarzenegger and Shriver had separated in May.
Shriver, a daughter of the Kennedy political dynasty, gave up her career as a network television journalist when she became California's first lady at the start of Schwarzenegger's two terms as governor. She has requested spousal support and joint custody of all their children.
Schwarzenegger's attorney filed court papers on Wednesday seeking suspension of court-ordered spousal support to Shriver and requesting that she pay her own legal fees, according to legal documents obtained by Reuters.
Two of Christopher's siblings, Katherine, 21, and Patrick, 17, posted messages of support for their younger brother on Twitter on Friday.
"This kid is strongest kid I ever seen (sic). Keep praying," wrote Patrick, while Katherine wrote: "He's a tough little guy and getting better!"

Warts and all portrait of artist Lucian Freud
AS the paint dries on Lucian Freud’s last canvas in his notoriously private West London studio, a very public battle looks set to erupt.
The great artist, who devoted his life to painting naked bodies, will have his eccentric life – and riotously busy sex life – laid bare following his death on Wednesday.
During countless affairs, he is said to have fathered as many as 40 children and the painter’s conquests are as legendary as his valuable masterpieces. As recently as eight years ago, the then 80-year-old Freud was enjoying an affair with his 29-year-old model Emily Bearn.
It all means that when his lawyers read out the multi-millionaire’s last will and testament, they might need to hire out a hall.
But as Freud was worth at least £125million – and his studio is likely to be an artistic treasure trove – there should be plenty to go around. In recent years his paintings have sold for incredible sums.
In 2008, Benefits Supervisor Sleeping, his portrait of JobCentre worker Sue Tilley, sold for £20.6million – still a world record sale for a living artist – at Christie’s auction house in New York. It was later rumoured the anonymous buyer was Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
Freud’s sex life was so complicated even grandad Sigmund, founder of psychoanalysis, would have struggled to unpick it. Neither love nor marriage seems to have restrained him. A perfect example came during his honeymoon after his second marriage, to Lady Caroline Blackwood in 1953.
“A few days after Caroline and Lucian were married, a crowd of us went with them to Paris and stayed at the Hotel Rue de Seine,” a friend recalled. “We were having lunch when a very pretty girl walked by. Lucian stood up and went after her. He didn’t come back for two days.”
Back in London at artists’ hang-out the Colony Room, Freud was berated by Prime Minister Harold Macmillan’s son-in-law Andrew Heath for the way he was treating his wife, from whom he was divorced in 1959.
It is unlikely Freud felt any shame, for his reaction was not remorse but, according to a witness, to punch Heath on the nose “very hard”. “Blood spurted everywhere,” added the witness.
Freud, who fled Nazi Germany with his family in 1933, behaved eccentrically from a young age. He was expelled from Bryanston School, in Dorset, after dropping his trousers in a Bournemouth street for a dare. And he is said to have set fire to the East Anglian School of Drawing and Painting after dropping a cigarette butt.
In his 20s, Lucian was already a colourful character, known for collecting guns, taking his pet hawk on the London Underground and wearing a fez. It was also in his younger years he got involved in heavy gambling. Freud admitted last year he would spend eight hours at a time in casinos and even received credit from the Kray twins.
At one time, he claimed to owe the East End gangsters half a million pounds. In 1983, the Jockey Club branded him a dishonourable man and warned him off all racecourses for welching on £19,000 he owed a bookmaker.
Despite his infidelity, Freud seduced his lovers with irresistible charisma. Tears Before Bedtime author Joan Wyndham said: “You couldn’t help but be attracted to Lucian. He was absolutely gorgeous and incredibly eccentric.”
One of his women models says being with him is “like putting your finger into an electric socket and being wired up to the national grid...he’s exciting company”. He sang to his models, quoted poetry and was said to serve them champagne.
Kate Moss was pictured leaving his flat at 2.30am when she posed. At the time she was 28 and pregnant, while Freud was 79.
He also painted a pregnant Jerry Hall nude and the Queen once sat for him – although Her Majesty was fully-clothed.
Freud was also well-known in London for his fiery temper. Just five years ago, when he was 83, he reportedly got in a fist-fight in a shop with a man who annoyed him. And he painted his recent work Self-Portrait With A Black Eye after a fight with a taxi driver. And when a tourist started taking photographs of one of his favourite eating places, the Wolseley in central London, Freud threw bread rolls at the intruder.
Sibling rivalry with his younger brother Sir Clement Freud simmered across the decades and was so bitter it makes the Gallagher brothers mutual hatred look positively tame.
He failed to attend Clement’s funeral in April 2009 because of a feud going back more than 50 years.
It was sparked in childhood by a bet about who would win a running race. Clement was leading until Lucian shouted: “Stop thief, he’s stolen my money.” In 1955, they fell out for good when Lucian visited his brother for a loan but stormed off.
Freud famously refused to paint people he disliked, turning down Pope John Paul II and Princess Diana. He once refused a request from Andrew Lloyd Webber to paint his wife Madeleine, claiming he had been “threatened” by the composer “with the offer of free tickets for his shows”.
For some family members, Freud’s rampant sex life could be a source of shame.
One of his daughters, Jane, once said: “I never spoke about Freud in case people thought I was some sort of sex maniac.” The long roll call of Freud’s known offspring starts with Annie, 62, a respected poet, and Annabel, 59.
They are the daughters of the painter’s first wife Kitty Garman, whom he met after having an affair with her aunt Lorna Garman.
That marriage ended in 1952, and was closely followed by the ill-fated marriage to Caroline Blackwood. There followed two children by Bernardine Coverley – fashion designer Bella Freud and writer Esther Freud – five with Suzy Boyt, including novelist Susie Boyt, and four children by Katherine McAdam - Paul Freud, Lucy Freud, David Freud and Jane McAdam Freud.
Daughter Lucy, 49, an acclaimed artist in her own right, recently said: “There are 13 children we know of. And three of those were all born in 1961. I think Mum was constantly trying to finish with him after she found out about the others, but he wasn’t having any of it.”
Freud’s pursuit of privacy was so intense that when Lucy invited him to her wedding when she was 22, her father neither came nor replied to the invitation.
He was so desperate to shut himself away from prying eyes that he would not attend the opening of an exhibition of his work at Tate Britain in 2002.
Instead he reportedly had his own special nighttime pass to both the Tate and the National Gallery.
Freud had no telephone or doorbell in his studio.
For some of his children, the only way to get to know their father was by posing for him. He once said: “Family is not important to me. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest.”
Describing the first time he painted her, daughter Esther said: “I sat for him when I was 16. That’s how I got to know him. We’d never lived in the same city before.”
On Wednesday night Freud’s regular table at the Wolseley was laid with a black tablecloth and a single candle in his honour. It was a fittingly dignified tribute to a man so reclusive he was known as the Hermit of Holland Park, a man whose first words – according to his mother - “Leave me alone”.

Cash-strapped Lohan hit with $1 million lawsuit
(Reuters) - Lindsay Lohan on Thursday added financial woes to four years of legal problems when she was slapped with a $1 million assault lawsuit and a court heard she was having problems paying for private counseling.
Lohan, 25, whose Hollywood career has been derailed since 2007 by drug and alcohol problems and repeated trips to jail, was ordered to undergo psychological counseling earlier this year as part of her sentence for stealing a gold necklace in January.
But her lawyer told a court hearing on Thursday that the "Mean Girls" actress had not yet enrolled in therapy because finding low-cost, individual treatment was proving a challenge.
"I find it hard to believe that she can't afford counseling," responded Melanie Chavira, the prosecutor at the Los Angeles City Attorney's office who is overseeing Lohan's case.
Judge Stephanie Sautner replied that she did not wish to speculate on Lohan's finances, but added:
"She needs to get into counseling. I am going to give her 21 days (to enroll).
"I don't know whether she is working or what she is doing to get an income...If she doesn't have the means, maybe she knows someone who can help out."
Lohan's lawyer Shawn Holley said Lohan indicated that finding financial aid would not be necessary.
Thursday's hearing came the same day that a former employee of a California rehab center filed a $1 million lawsuit against Lohan.
Dawn Bradley claimed in the civil lawsuit that Lohan yelled at her, threw a phone, grabbed her wrist and twisted it when asked to submit to a breathalyzer test in December at the Betty Ford Center near Palm Springs.
Bradley claimed she suffered "significant injury" to her wrist as well as "post-traumatic stress syndrome requiring several therapy sessions." Bradley is seeking damages of $1 million as well as medical expenses.
Prosecutors in Riverside County decided earlier this year not to file criminal charges against Lohan over Bradley's allegations, citing insufficient evidence.
Lohan has been to rehab and jail multiple times since a 2007 drunk driving and cocaine possession case. She also served 35 days house arrest in Los Angeles earlier this summer for stealing the gold necklace from a jewelry store.
The child star of "The Parent Trap" and later "Freaky Friday", "Herbie Fully Loaded" and "Bobby", has not made a feature film since the 2010 low-budget action thriller "Machete".
However, she is due to start work in the fall on a major movie about New York crime boss John Gotti with co-stars John Travolta and Al Pacino.

Jackson doctor's court hearing postponed
A hearing in the criminal case of Michael Jackson's doctor has been postponed because lawyers are bogged down viewing hundreds of hours of rehearsal footage from the singer's This Is It concert.
In a conference with lawyers on Wednesday, Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor accepted the requests to delay a July 12 hearing to July 20. He said he wants to know then when the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr Conrad Murray can go forward. It is now set for September 8.
Prosecutors want to show jurors clips from the posthumous feature film This Is It to prove Jackson was healthy in the days before his death. The defence wants to show he was ill.
Murray, a Houston cardiologist with an office in Las Vegas, is accused of giving the superstar an overdose of the anaesthetic propofol and other sedatives when he could not sleep. Jackson died on June 15, 2009, in his rented Beverly Hills mansion where Murray had been attending him.
Murray has pleaded not guilty. The transcript of the conference with the judge and lawyers was released on Thursday.
Lawyers indicated it will take weeks for them to view all of the relevant video recordings of Jackson. They said they have been working every day since June 28 and have gotten through only one of 21 boxes of materials.
"So far, we have found a lot of important stuff," said defence lawyer Nareg Gourjian.
Lawyers have been barred from discussing publicly any evidence they find in the videos.

Beaming Becks shows off wife's bump

Beaming soccer star David Beckham has posted a picture of his heavily pregnant wife on his Facebook page, proudly declaring "she looks amazing".
The 36-year-old LA Galaxy midfielder risked the wrath of wife Victoria by uploading the black and white shot of her lying back with the bump fully exposed.
Former Spice Girl Victoria, 37, last week claimed she was uncomfortable flaunting her bump in public, the Daily Mail reports.
But the father of her three children decided to show the world he has a very different perception, writing on his Facebook page: "Took this pic of Victoria while she wasn't looking. She looks amazing, so close now to the baby being born!"
The picture comes days after she told Women's Wear Daily she did not want to join other stars such as Demi Moore and Britney Spears who have featured in front page magazine shoots while pregnant.
Victoria is booked into a private hospital in LA and is due to give birth to her fourth child via caesarean on Sunday.

Steven Spielberg 'demanded Megan Fox be fired from Transformers after Hitler comment'
Steven Spielberg demanded Megan Fox be fired from the latest Transformers film after she insulted its director, it has been revealed.
The Hollywood legend was outraged after the screen beauty compared Michael Bay to Hitler during a press interview.
The 25-year-old actress was quickly dumped from the film and replaced by British model Rosie Huntingdon-Whitley.
Fox had tried to claim she left the third in the series of the films to pursue other acting opportunities.
But ahead of the July 4 premiere of Transformers 3 director Bay has revealed for the first time he was told to get rid of the actress.
He said: 'You know the Hitler thing. Steven (Spielberg) said, fire her right now.'
Spielberg is executive producer of the film which stars Shia LaBeouf.
Fox had appeared in the first two Transformers films and the roles helped her be named one of the sexiest women in the world.
She had been cast in the third film but shortly before production began she gave an interview to the British magazine Wonderland. In it she said Bay wanted to be like Hitler on his sets.
Other crew members from the film hit back on a blog comparing Fox's acting to that of a porn star.
In an open letter posted on Michael Bay's website the crew member wrote: 'Michael found this shy, inexperienced girl, plucked her out of total obscurity thus giving her the biggest shot of any young actresses' life.
'He told everyone around to just trust him on his choice. He granted her the starring role in Transformers, a franchise that forever changed her life; she became one of the most googled and oogled women on earth.
'She was famous! She was the next Angelina Jolie, hooray! Wait a minute, two of us worked with Angelina – second thought – she's no Angelina. You see, Angelina is a professional.
'We know this quite intimately because we've had the tedious experience of working with the dumb-as-a-rock Megan Fox on both Transformers movies.'

Middletons join forces with Justin Bieber
The Middleton family have signed a multi-million dollar deal with teen pop sensation Justin Bieber to sell his merchandise in the UK.
Kate Middleton's parents Michael and Carole's mail order party supplies company Party Pieces has bought the exclusive rights to sell the 17-year-old star's new range of products.
The company announced the new deal in its online magazine Party Times, which is edited by Kate's younger sister Pippa.
"Teenage girls around the world go crazy for Bieber," the article read. "In fact, they love Justin Bieber so much that the pop star now has his very own partyware."
The new range includes plates, cups, hats and decorations bearing Justin's image. A pinata in the shape of Justin will also be available and die-hard fans can purchase the 'Justin Bieber Ultimate Party Kit', which includes enough merchandise for a party for 16 guests.
News of the deal comes just four weeks after Justin expressed his admiration for Pippa, 27, on social networking site Twitter.
Pippa won legions of fans, including Justin, after she wore a sexy figure-hugging gown to Kate's wedding to Prince William last month.
Michael and Carole have faced criticism in recent months, with many people accusing them of profiting from their daughter's marriage after royal wedding themed products were sold on the company's website.
"Congrats to William and Kate... and Kate's sister. She was a hit," Justin tweeted.
Carole Middleton started Party Pieces in 1981 while heavily pregnant with Kate. The business is now estimated to be worth more than $40 million.

ShouldArnold Schwarzenegger's mistress protect their love child?
Arnold Schwarzenegger's mistress and former housekeeper Mildred Baena has broken her silence on her affair with the star, exposing their 13-year-old son on the cover of a magazine.
Joseph Baena, already known to the public as Schwarzenegger's love child, is pictured posing with his mother on the front of UK gossip magazine Hello!.
The photo shoot accompanies an exclusive interview Mildred has emerged from hiding to give, revealing details of her relationship with the former Hollywood action star and California governor.
Hello! reports the story gives Mildred the opportunity to set the record straight, but it is likely it has also presented her with the opportunity to pocket a hefty pay check.
As the protagonist of this year's biggest celebrity scandal, young Joseph has already had his photograph on the pages of gossip magazines world over while dealing with this delicate family situation.
The latest pictures have led many to criticise Mildred for putting her young son in the international spotlight, while others object to her profiting from the transaction.
However Joseph is feeling about his newfound notoriety, Hello! Was quick to insist he was happy about one thing — the identity of his father.
The publication reports that when his grandfather sat him down a year ago to explain that Arnold Schwarzenegger was his father, Joseph exclaimed: "Cool!"

Jilted Hugh Hefner?
Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has a broken heart. His third wife-to-be, the buxom blonde Crystal Harris, broke off their engagement days before the wedding.

Making things worse for poor old Hef, the break-up came as Crystal's new single was released on iTunes, and a day or so before the latest Playboy, featuring Crystal on the cover, hit the stands.
His ex-fiancé appeared under the words: "America's Princess: Introducing Mrs Crystal Hefner" (in the US, a sticker reading "Runaway Bride" was later slapped on the front).
Hef has updated his Twitter followers on his pain, denying that Crystal broke off the relationship after a fight, as originally reported.
"I didn't see any of this coming, but I'm glad things went wrong before the marriage instead of after. Live and learn."
A cynic might suggest Crystal was using her relationship with Hef for publicity. Certainly that suspicion would gain weight if reports that Crystal had originally planned to jilt Hef at the altar for a reality television special are true.

Sarah Ferguson films return from "emotional bankruptcy"
A year after hitting rock bottom in a royal favors scandal, the disgraced former daughter-in-law of Britain's Queen Elizabeth says she is now debt-free and positive about the future.
But it was a grueling struggle back to emotional and financial health for Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, judging by a candid six-part documentary making its debut on television on Sunday.
"Finding Sarah", on Oprah Winfrey's cable channel OWN, follows the ex-wife of Prince Andrew in a search for her own self-esteem as she seeks to rebuild her life following repeated acts of what she calls "self-sabotage."
"Dear diary," Ferguson begins. "What have I done with my life? How did I get it so wrong?...After 25 years in public life, I have lost who I am and it torments me."
Ferguson, 51, embarked on the documentary after being caught in a British tabloid newspaper sting in May 2010 in which she offered to sell access to Prince Andrew for $40,000.
It was the ultimate fall from grace for the exuberant, flame-haired duchess. Hailed as a breath of fresh air when she married the Queen's second son in 1986, she was later dubbed the "Duchess of Pork" by British tabloids.
The answers to her latest quest come just as harshly in "Finding Sarah." TV advice guru Dr. Phil McGraw tells a tearful Ferguson that she is "emotionally bankrupt," and diagnoses her as being addicted to the approval of others.
Financial self-help expert Suze Orman tells her she is "broken inside," and urges her to become financially independent from Prince Andrew. The couple divorced in 1996 but Andrew later provided Ferguson with a free home in England.
Ferguson also visits a horse whisperer, a shaman in the Arizona desert, U.S. life coach Martha Beck, and embarks on a
26-mile trek through Canada's Arctic region in a test of her physical and mental stamina.
"To have the ability to go and see Dr. Phil or Suze Orman or Martha Beck...was an extraordinary honor for me," Ferguson told Reuters in an interview this week.
"By filming it, I hope that people watching will maybe relate to the feelings that I have felt, and see how Dr. Phil and Suze Orman and others give you the tools to be able to change your life," she added.

Lindsay Lohan wins restraining order against man
Actress Lindsay Lohan on Wednesday won a two-year restraining order against a man she says sent her delusional phone text messages and left chocolates at her door.
The order by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Joseph Biderman came after Lohan had obtained a temporary restraining order against David Cocordan.
Lohan did not attend the court hearing on Wednesday because she was serving a home detention sentence for jewelry theft. She is expected to be released around the end of June.
The 24 year-old star of the films "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" said in court papers last month that Cocordan believed he was in a romantic relationship with her.
Lohan also accused him of contacting her with more than 100 unwanted phone calls and sexually explicit text messages since 2009.
Lohan, who was once considered one of Hollywood's most promising actors, has barely been out of the news for four years due to repeated trips to jail and drug rehabilitation.

Tracy Morgan apologizes for anti-gay jokes
(Reuters) - Comedian and "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan on Friday apologized for making a series of anti-gay remarks, including a reported joke that he would stab his own son to death if he spoke in a "gay voice".
Morgan's apology followed criticism of his stand-up act in Nashville last week, in which he was also quoted as having taken gays to task for "whining about something as insignificant as bullying."
"I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville," Morgan said in a statement.
"I'm not a hateful person and don't condone any kind of violence against others. While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context," he added.
Morgan's remarks at the June 3 Nashville performance were reported by the gay campaign group Truth Wins Out, and other members of the audience.
Morgan, 42, who has three children, also claimed that being gay is a choice and something that kids learn from the media, according to the reports.
"Jokes that make light of violence directed at gay and lesbian youth aren't only offensive, they put our kids in harm's way," said Jarrett Barrios, president of the gay and lesbian campaign group GLAAD.
"Tracy Morgan must not only apologize, but assure us that this won't happen again and send a clear message to Americans that anti-gay violence is no joke," Barrios said on Friday.

Jodie Foster recalls fame struggle
Jodie Foster wouldn’t have become an actress if she had the knowledge she does today when she was starting out.
The Hollywood star began her career young, appearing as a prostitute in Taxi Driver when she was only 14. She continued making movies but also wanted to learn, so began studying at Yale University. However, her chances of a normal life were ruined when a man who had been stalking her tried to assassinate then US President Ronald Reagan, saying he wanted to impress the star. She was also stalked by another man and both experiences have left an indelible mark on the star. She is fiercely protective of her private life and doesn’t discuss the incidents.
Jodie still enjoys moviemaking, but her horrific experiences mean she struggles with the fame aspect of the business.
“If I knew what I knew today, and if I was 17 years old and wanting to have a career, I don't know that I would pick acting. It's not about the acting; I could act all day long. It's the rest of it,” she told British newspaper The Independent.
“I don't think I would change anything if I went back to the 60s and 70s. I mean, how amazing – I made movies with fantastic people in the 70s and all the amazing experiences and the people that I met and the great places that I've been, I don't think I would change any of that.”
The 48-year-old wishes she could have spent more time studying. She feels she missed out on a lot in her younger years due to her work schedule, and it’s that portion of time she would love to recapture.
“Sometimes I wish I'd gone to grad school. I wish I could have fitted that in or maybe had a little time in film school. I think that it would have been fun to run around New York City with a camera… I never had that. I always had responsibility,” she explained.
Jodie directs as well as acts and realises her movies tend to share themes. She knows she often depicts the media in a certain way when she’s behind the camera, and is perfectly aware why that is.
Her time as a child and young woman and the things she went through had an enormous effect on her, and continually come to the fore when she’s planning a picture.
“There's a theme in my movies, it happens over and over again – and I don't know why I'm attracted to this – but the characters expose themselves publicly and they're used in some ways by the media as a train-wreck. And in some ways they are exposing themselves in the deepest way, they're exposing their most vulnerable things,” she mused. "It's a comment on how I grew up.”

Scarlett 'too intense' for Sean Penn?
Scarlett Johansson was too “intense” for Sean Penn, according to sources.
Rumours of a romance between the Hollywood beauty and the American actor first surfaced back in January when the pair reportedly hooked up while staying at Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont hotel.
Scarlett was said to have been “besotted” with the actor who is more than 20 years her senior.
After a whirlwind five-month affair, the pair split earlier this month, and now reports have emerged that Scarlett was a little too keen for her former beau.
“Sean is simply not ready for a long-term or very serious relationship, given it’s too soon since he and Robin [Wright] divorced. Scarlett’s intensity just scared him - which is kind of funny, given how intense Sean is,” a source told the Chicago Sun-Times.
The former couple were spotted on a number of dates – including a romantic day trip to Mexico. Insiders also claimed that Scarlett had “essentially moved in” to Sean's Los Angeles mansion.
A source close to Sean has now revealed the Oscar-winning actor started to “totally freak out” when “a very emotionally needy” Scarlett moved in.
The stunning star is currently in the process of divorcing Ryan Reynolds.

British pop mogul Cowell goes to police over fix claim
LONDON - Pop mogul Simon Cowell has called in police over Internet allegations that his firm groomed a contestant on "Britain's Got Talent" and that the popular TV show is therefore fixed, police said on Friday.
Cowell's lawyers made the complaint to officers after an anonymous blogger alleged that Ronan Parke, the 12-year-old favourite to win Saturday's final, had been secretly advised by his company for two years.
The blogger claimed Parke already has a management deal with Cowell's company Syco and had received guidance on his hairstyle, clothing and mannerisms.
London police have yet to decide if they will take action over the complaint.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "An allegation of malicious communications was made to Kensington and Chelsea police on Thursday June 2.
"The allegation is being considered."
The schoolboy, who bears a passing resemblance to teenage heartthrob singer Justin Bieber, won the viewers' vote on Monday, putting him straight through to the Saturday final.
Syco and Sony Music said they would take legal action to "prevent further publication of these unfounded allegations".
Syco said in a statement: "There has been speculation on the Internet that Britain's Got Talent finalist Ronan Parke was known to and worked with Syco/Sony Music before entering the show. There is no truth in this story whatsoever.
"Ronan first came to Syco/Sony's attention when he entered this year's competition."
Parke's mother Maggie also dismissed claims that he was auditioned by talent scouts after being spotted performing at a birthday party for a friend of his parents.
"It's laughable, to be perfectly honest with you, and it couldn't be further from the truth," she told BBC radio.
"There's no foundation in it whatsoever."
Cowell has endured a turbulent few weeks after British pop star Cheryl Cole was dropped from the judging panel of the US version of another of his shows, "The X Factor", reportedly because American audiences could not understand her accent.

Sheen, Mueller reach custody agreement
Guess everybody's winning now.
After months of private negotiations, Charlie Sheen and ex-wife Brooke Mueller have reached a new custody agreement for their twin, two-year-old sons Bob and Max, Us Weekly has confirmed.
Both Sheen, 45, and Mueller, 33, are "satisfied" with the new terms, an insider adds. No further details on the agreement have been disclosed.
But it's a much more civil ending to the former spouses' very public battle over their boys. Back in March, a judge ordered that Bob and Max be removed from Sheen's L.A. home (then also inhabited by his two "goddess" companions Bree Olson and Natalie Kenly) in the midst of his notorious meltdown and "Two and a Half Men" firing.
A month later, Sheen lost his court bid for sole custody of the boys. Both he and Mueller have battled drug addictions over the years, clocking in rehab stints (at facilities and at home) this past year. An earlier custody agreement had stipulated both parents stay alcohol and drug-free — with another rule forbidding either Sheen or Mueller from being photographed with the kids while with a romantic partner.
Living apart since Christmas 2009 (when Sheen infamously threatened Mueller with a knife), the couple finalized their divorce in early May. Sheen agreed to pay Mueller (his third ex-wife) $55,000 per month in child support.

Beckham in Los Angeles car crash
David Beckham has been involved in a car accident on one of the busiest roads in Los Angeles.
The LA Galaxy footballer was not injured in the crash on the southbound 405 Freeway, said a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman.
The driver of the other car was taken to hospital but was not seriously injured, she said.
Beckham's black Cadillac crashed into the back of a gold Mitsubishi which had broken down in the car-sharing lane, the spokeswoman added.
"Yesterday at approximately 9.13am he [Beckham] was involved with a collision on the southbound 405 Freeway just south of Artesia Boulevard," she said on Saturday.
"This collision occurred when his black Cadillac collided with the rear of a disabled gold Mitsubishi which was stalled in the car pool lane due to mechanical problems.
"The driver of the vehicle had a complaint of pain and was taken to hospital. David Beckham was not cited or arrested."
Sources close to Beckham said that his son Brooklyn was in the car at the time.
His car was one of many that swerved to avoid the broken down car.
The Mitsubishi reportedly only lost its bumper in the crash.

Paul McCartney to marry for third time
LONDON: Former Beatle Paul McCartney is engaged to New York socialite Nancy Shevell, his girlfriend of nearly four years, his publicist said on Friday.
It will be the 68-year-old pop legend's third marriage.
His first wife, Linda, died from breast cancer in 1998 and he then wed ex-model Heather Mills in 2002 before divorcing her in 2008.
"We're all thrilled for him," McCartney's spokesman Stuart Bell said, confirming the engagement but giving no further details.
Mills and McCartney's marriage ended in a bitter divorce three years ago.
She was awarded 24.3 million pounds (then $48 million, 30.8 million euros) in an accord finally hammered out after prolonged and acrimonious negotiations.
McCartney married Mills in a lavish ceremony in Ireland in June 2002, four years after Linda, a photographer and animal rights campaigner, died from breast cancer.

SYDNEY: An Australian teenager was charged Thursday with breaking into the roof of a concert arena so he could throw eggs at Canadian pop sensation Justin Bieber.
The 17-year-old heartthrob, touring Australia, has been mobbed by screaming girls at sold-out shows, but had eggs thrown at him when performing his first single "One Time" at a concert in Sydney on Friday.
None hit him and he finished singing the song before taking a break so the stage could be cleaned up.

He was bailed to appear at a children's court on June 2.

Trump shows no hard feelings over Obama jokes
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Real estate mogul and possible Republican presidential contender Donald Trump said on Sunday that President Barack Obama did a "pretty good" job mocking him at a Washington gala on Saturday evening.
In remarks at the annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner on Saturday evening, Obama joked about the "birther" debate, Trump's possible presidential ambitions and his experience as a reality TV star.
"I thought some of what the president did was pretty good," Trump said in an interview on CNN.
"I understand it. It was a lion's pit. I was walking into it. I've been there before and I thought it was an entertaining evening," Trump said.
One of Obama's gags that most amused Trump, he said, were the images flashed on big ballroom screens of what was labeled "Trump, The White House," spoofing the businessman's practice of naming buildings after himself.
It portrayed a hotel-casino-golf course with bikini-clad girls frolicking in the fountain that adorns a White House lawn and gold columns substituted at the front for white ones.
Trump has seized on talk that Obama was not native born and therefore ineligible to be president. Obama last week released a longer version of his birth certificate to silence the debate.
Trump again took credit for forcing Obama to release the document but said he did not want to talk about the birther issue any more.
"The press kept asking the question and that's what it came to the forefront," he said. He said he'd rather talk about serious issues like jobs and the economy.
Trump, who has been testing the waters for a possible 2012 run for the Republican presidential nomination, said he would be "announcing something prior to June." He's holding back with an announcement until his reality TV show "Celebrity Apprentice" ends it's season on May 22, he said.

William and Kate to honeymoon in Seychelles: Mail
LONDON (AFP) – Prince William and his wife Kate will honeymoon at a luxury villa on an island in the Seychelles, according to Monday's Daily Mail newspaper.
The newly-weds delayed their honeymoon, but will jet out later this month to spend ten days at a £4,000 ($6,700, 4,500 euros) a night retreat in the Indian Ocean archipelago, the British paper reported.
The 28-year-old prince's protection officers reportedly visited the top-secret location to assess its suitability and were satisfied that the isolated resort would offer the required privacy.
The luxury wooden villa comes complete with an open-air bathroom, a private garden, a freshwater rock pool and a personal butler and chef.
A private jet will fly the newly-titled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to the main island from where they will take a helicopter to the unnamed holiday hideaway, the paper claimed.
William, who is a search and rescue helicopter pilot at a Royal Air Force station in the Welsh island of Anglesey, was forced to split the annual leave needed for the wedding and honeymoon and is due back at work on Tuesday.
A helicopter carried the couple away from Buckingham Palace on Saturday, a day after the wedding which was watched by an estimated two billion people worldwide, to an undisclosed British location for a "mini-moon".
The royal family is thought to be prepared to take legal action to prevent any media outlet attempting to disrupt the couple's main trip.
Meanwhile, The Sun reported that William was to travel to the Falkland Islands in September where he will serve for ten weeks without his wife.
The south Atlantic island group was the scene of a war between Britain and Argentina in 1982.

Boxing legend Henry Cooper dies aged 76
LONDON (AFP) – Former British heavyweight champion Sir Henry Cooper, who famously knocked down Muhammad Ali in 1963, before becoming a cult hero for his lionhearted performances in the ring and modesty out of it, died on Sunday aged 76.
He passed away at his son's house at Oxted in Surrey, southern England, just two days short of his 77th birthday.
The London-born Cooper met Ali -- then known as Cassius Clay -- at Wembley in 1963, with the British fighter famously flooring the great American.
Many fans were convinced Cooper had been robbed of victory by some ringside trickery.
Towards the end of the fourth round of that non-title bout, Cooper floored Clay with a trademark left hook known as 'Enry's hammer'.
Ali, who later said the punch "not only shook me, it shook my relations in Africa," was saved by the bell and then aided by some quick thinking from trainer Angelo Dundee, who noticed a tear in Ali's gloves that he then opened up and brought to the attention of the referee.
In the time it took for new gloves to arrive from the dressing room, Ali recovered and in the next round stopped Cooper.
Three years later, with Ali now the world heavyweight champion, the pair met again in London and Cooper's face was a bloodied mess when the fight was halted in the sixth round.
Recalling the glove incident from their first bout, Cooper, who won the British, European and Commonwealth titles but never became a world champion, said: "I always say if the boot had been on the other foot Jim (Wicks, Cooper's manager) would have done something like that for me.

Diana funeral topped royal wedding in U.S. ratings
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Almost 23 million American TV viewers tuned in to watch live coverage of Prince William's marriage to Kate Middleton on Friday despite the wedding taking place before dawn in much of the United States.
But according to Nielsen ratings data released on Saturday, U.S. TV viewing interest in the British royal nuptials in London was far below that of Princess Diana's funeral in 1997.
Nielsen said 22.7 million Americans watched live coverage of the royal wedding on 11 U.S. networks. The U.S. population is about 310 million people.
In comparison, 33.2 million tuned in to watch the funeral of Princess Diana in London in September 1997. Diana, the mother of Prince William, was killed in car crash at the age of 36.
The Nielsen figures did not cover the millions more who watched Friday's wedding ceremony on smaller U.S. networks, nor online, where interest in the couple has rivaled coverage of superstar movie actresses and pop singers in recent months.
E! Online alone reported a record 23.6 million page views on Friday thanks mostly to its coverage of the London nuptials and live streaming of the royal wedding ceremony.
Worldwide, other estimates put the global television and online audience for the wedding at 2.4 billion people -- more than one in three of the global population if the figure is accurate.

Jackson doctor due in court to seek trial delay
LOS ANGELES – The doctor charged in Michael Jackson's death returns to court Monday to ask for a delay in his upcoming involuntary manslaughter trial.
The move comes two days before jury selection resumes, and one week before opening statements are scheduled to begin.
Dr. Conrad Murray had been seeking a speedy trial, but his attorneys asked for a delay late Friday to give them more time to prepare to rebut the opinions of newly-disclosed prosecution experts.
The Houston-based cardiologist is accused of giving Jackson a lethal dose of the anesthetic propofol in the bedroom of the singer's rented mansion in June 2009. Murray has pleaded not guilty.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor said Friday that he would consider the delay request, but would not necessarily grant it.

Royal wedding: Kate Middleton's dress to go on public display

Now there is happy news for the millions of us who swooned over the Duchess of Cambridge's fairytale creation. The wedding dress is to go on public display, allowing visitors to examine its every intricate detail.
The dress, designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, is expected to become one of the capital's biggest tourist draws.
Possible venues include the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace, which open to the public in the summer, or Hampton Court Palace, where a team from the Royal School of Needlework helped in its creation.
The Victoria & Albert Museum, which has a world-renowned fashion department, is also a consideration.
A Clarence House spokesman said: "The Duchess of Cambridge is considering a number of options to give members of the public the opportunity to see, close-up, the skilled British craftsmanship that went into the making of her wedding dress by Sarah Burton and her team as well as the Royal School of Needlework."
