Megan Fox: 'I Have No Confidence'

Who ever would have thought that someone as stunning as Megan Fox would be dealing with insecurity on a daily basis? Fox, who seems to make it on to 'Most Sexy' lists every other day, proves that she's more than just a body in the March issue of W magazine.

Famous for her overly self-deprecating comments on red carpets, (remember when she said she looked like Alan Alda?), Fox admits that on film as well as in life, "My main weakness is nerves." The 23-year-old goes on to add, "I have no confidence, and because of that I'm always second-guessing myself. That allows you to be false, and you can't do that."

Sounding a bit like a self-help paperback, Fox warms to her theme. "You have to be honest; you gotta believe what you're about to say. So once I get through the nerves, if ever, and sometimes it does happen, that's when I'm able to have genuine moments."

With three films scheduled for release this year, including roles in the thriller "Passion Play," co-starring Bill Murray, the drama "Jonah Hex," co-starring Josh Brolin, and the animated 3D blockbuster, "Shrek Forever After" (out May 21), hopefully Fox was able to build some confidence.

Being photographed for an Armani campaign was also a character-building exercise for the sex symbol, and it seems being snapped in her underwear comes naturally to Fox. "There are some women you could put in underwear and photograph them, and it looks really classy and it doesn't necessarily provoke a pinup image. But with me it does, immediately, as soon as I'm in underwear. I'm a Vargas girl," she says, referring to the curvy women featured in ads from the 1940s.

The star shares that the Armani team "were really conscious of that on set, trying to make sure that it didn't look like we were doing a Victoria's Secret campaign or a men's magazine. They wanted it to look like fashion. Which is hard to do with me."

Fox admits that unlike some red carpet regulars, getting all dolled up isn't her favorite activity. "Being super fashion-forward and always stepping out in the latest whatever is out there, being a constant fashion plate, like a Rihanna or whoeverthat, to me, seems exhausting," says the "Transformers" star.

Often seen out in ripped jeans and simple t-shirts when not on official business, Fox still understands the power of creating a public image. "[Fashion is] part of your marketing," she says, adding, "I don't want to market myself as a high-gloss magazine cover every time I walk out of the house."

Most surprisingly in the W interview, the actress, best known for her wild-child behavior and provocative comments, reveals a maternal side. "No one believes me when I talk about this, but I'm really, really maternal," confides Fox, who has been dating "Beverly Hills 90210" actor Brian Austin Green since 2004.

Showing more maturity than the media generally gives her credit for, Fox comments, "I worry that because I've always wanted [kids] so much, as the world goes sometimes, I won't be able to have them, even though I would be able to provide them with such an amazing environment."

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt jokes about break-up rumours

Brad Pitt has poked fun at rumours that he is about to break up with Angelina Jolie.

The speculation began last month when the News of the World claimed that the couple had signed a legal deal to divide their assets and arrange custody of their children.

However, the couple have denied the reports and Pitt recently joked about the rumours on a trip to a toy shop, says Radar Online.

After leaving the Toy Crazy store in Malibu, he allegedly grabbed his male friend's arm and quipped, "We're back together", before pushing him away and saying, "Now we're broken up".

Pitt then repeated the move several times in front of the waiting paparazzi.

Pitt and Jolie recently announced that they plan to sue the News of the World over its claim that they are about to split up.

Alexander McQueen found dead after reportedly hanging himself

Celebrity favourite fashion designer Alexander McQueen has been found dead at his London home after apparently committing suicide, police sources have confirmed to Mirror.co.uk.

The London-born designer, famous for designs including 'bumster' trousers, skull-printed scarves and known as Lee to his friends, was just 40 years old.

It's reported that he hanged himself.

A spokeswoman for the designer confirmed the news, saying: "Mr McQueen was found dead this morning at his home.

"We're devastated and I hope you understand that out of respect to his family and his colleagues we're not going to be making any further statement."

A spokeswoman for his company - also called Alexander McQueen - meanwhile said: "On behalf of Lee McQueen's family, Alexander McQueen today announces the tragic news that Lee McQueen, the founder and designer of the Alexander McQueen brand, has been found dead at his home.

"At this stage it is inappropriate to comment on this tragic news beyond saying that we are devastated and are sharing a sense of shock and grief with Lee's family. "Lee's family has asked for privacy in order to come to terms with this terrible news and we hope the media will respect this."

The Metropolitan Police also confirmed the fashion star's untimely death, releasing a statement saying: "We were called by London Ambulance Service at about 10.20am this morning to reports of a man found dead at an address in Green Street, W1.

Olympics Opening Ceremony Offers a Glimpse of We Are the World 2.0

These are the ones who make a brighter day, so let's start giving.

The start of the XXI Winter Olympics seemed an apropos occasion for a sneak peek at the 25th-anniversary rerecording of the seminal charity single "We Are the World," cowritten by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie in 1985 for USA for Africa.

This time around, the proceeds are going to help Haiti and donations can be made at WeAretheWorldFoundation.org.

Dozens of recording stars—from veterans like Barbra Streisand and Tony Bennett to the comparatively prenatal Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber—came together in Los Angeles on Feb. 1 to sing, and a 7-minute video directed by Crash helmer Paul Haggis will have its global television premiere Saturday on 53 channels—including E!—at 2 p.m. ET/11 a.m. PT.

But NBC aired a 3-minute clip tonight, giving us a taste of the entertainment to come.

And just as the 1985 version is still a marvel to watch, with Jackson sharing space with Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Bob Dylan and many more, half the fun of watching this version will come from seeing the faces in the crowd (some of whom were edited in at different times, alas).

The other half will come when we find out how many millions this project makes to help victims of the Haiti earthquake.

"We Are the World" 2.0 opens with tween heartthrob Bieber and the star power skyrockets from there.

Also featured in Friday's snippet were Streisand, Cyrus, Fergie, Jennifer Hudson, Nicole Scherzinger, Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, Céline Dion, Josh Groban, LL Cool J, Nick Jonas, Lil Wayne, Jeff Bridges, Kanye West and Wyclef Jean.

And, though he's no longer with us in life, original "We Are the World" cowriter and executive producer Micahel Jackson was featured in a clip from the original, singing alongside Janet Jackson.

In real time, Canadian artists Bryan Adams, Nelly Furtado, Sarah McLachlan and k.d. lang. performed during the host-country cultural segment of the ceremony at Vancouver's BC Place Stadium.

More than 2,500 athletes from 84 nations paraded through the stadium, culminating in the Olympic flame being lit by hockey great Wayne Gretzky, NBA star Steve Nash, speed skater Catriona LeMay Doan and skier Nancy Greene.

Why Is Everybody So Hot for Gerard Butler?

Just what is it about Gerard Butler? I don't get it.....

I don't either, but that's probably because the guy kind of looks like my brother. Gives me the willies.

Anyway, I put this question both to the box office experts and my readers. You may be surprised to hear that, in part, Butler is taking over tabloid roles previously manned by two other Hollywood hunks...

...specifically, Russell Crowe and Colin Farrell. It's not so much in the punchy, fighty department, or in the baby daddy category. It's more of a general, raunchy vibe with a slightly foreign—but not too foreign—accent.

When it comes to the Crowe comparisons, there's a clear similarity there. Like Crowe, Butler burst into the American mainstream playing a shirtless fighting machine from a bygone culture, rallying other fighter dudes while covered with classical-era grime. For Crowe, the role was in Gladiator; Butler played Leonidas in 300.

"He was Leonidas. That's why I love him. I love Leonidas," Facebooker Pique S. explains to me. "And he was ripped, don't deny that while watching 300 you were a little sad that those guys only exist on celluloid!"

All that ab appeal has also translated into quite a respectable box office return for Butler.

Plenty of people still remember that breakout 300 role—particularly female audiences, says box office analyst Jeff Bock of Exhibitor Relations.

Romantic comedies can be tough to make money on, especially in this economy, but when you pair Butler with a lady and call it a comedy, the cash comes rolling in.

Bock tells me that the Butler-Katherine Heigl jape The Ugly Truth cost about $38 million and brought in a domestic haul of $88 million, which is considered all kinds of terrific. P.S. I Love You cost only $30 million and made $53 million, Bock says.

"When you pair him with a woman actor, he does extremely well," Bock tells me. Oh, and look, there he is now with Jennifer Aniston in something called The Bounty Hunter.

Butler also does extremely well in the tabloid love department; hence the comparisons to Colin Farrell.

"I know he's a skank but still love him," Facebook fan Maryse B. explains. "I'd have a beer with him any day—but I may not touch him though."

By "skank," we may mean "Hollywood's playboy du jour," as Star magazine prefers to put it.

Simply put, the ladies out there love him, and Gerard keeps fans on a steady diet of amusing tales of bikini Mexico getaways, flirtations with topless dancers and street-performer make-out sessions.
